Ben Sabloff is an accomplished executive and recognized industry expert across consumer and small business financial services. Having spent 13 years at the center of modern lending innovation—during the formative years of Capital One—Ben brings valuable executive experience to each of his engagements and delivers uniquely practical and powerful insights to his clients. Ben has advised investors, banks, and FinTechs delivering actionable advice in payments, small business, and consumer lending. In addition to his accomplishments in financial services, Ben has also been a serial entrepreneur, having founded successful businesses in emerging retail and logistics, staffing, and consulting. Ben holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a dual degree in undergraduate business from the University of Richmond.

John Crenshaw has 20 plus years of experience in consumer analytics, marketing, modeling, underwriting, and credit risk management. He has substantial first- and second-line risk management experience in credit cards, auto lending, mortgage, personal loans, and small business lending as a former Senior Credit Officer at Capital One. John has also managed line and P/L units in most of those product categories. His banking experiences also include corporate due diligence, acquisitions, and integration, operations, technology, and regulation from startups to top-five banks. He also has significant experience as an Executive in Residence for QED Investors, a fintech-focused VC firm working in Latin America advising portfolio companies and evaluating potential opportunities. He has a BS in Operation Research and Environmental Engineering from Princeton University.

Colin Nance has spent nearly 25 years in consumer and small business lending as an executive, investor, and consultant. For most of that time, he held substantial responsibility in a variety of functional areas, including credit risk, marketing, pricing and valuations, and collections, for HSBC and Capital One. Colin has deep expertise across several products, including credit cards, unsecured installment loans and lines, point-of-sale financing and partnerships, and small business lending.
Colin has led a wide variety of client engagements from capability assessments and due diligence work to capturing analytics-driven quick hits to full-scale capability transformations. He has a BS in Operations Research Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Chicago Booth School of Business.

Director
Jason Ford is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience devising analytically-backed strategies for lenders and leading diligence efforts on FinTechs for investors. His wealth of exposure to clients in different lending verticals and engagements across the lending lifecycle at AQN allows him to critique credit decisions, operations, and processes through a practitioner’s lens. Most recently, he has helped both lenders and investors alike to navigate the COVID environment, providing leveled recommendations based on sophisticated stress testing and understanding of consumer behavior.
Prior to joining AQN, Jason served in key analytical roles at fintech lender GreenSky, helping refine credit policy, managing their merchant network, and standing up new verticals. Additionally, he spent time as an Operations Analyst at Capital One. He has a BS in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Chief Operating Officer
Thomas King is an experienced business leader with a decade of experience – ranging from the public sector to venture capital to boutique consulting. Thomas joined AQN in early 2018 and engages in a variety of firm functions ranging from business development, project sizing and scoping, contracting and negotiating, vendor management, talent acquisition, finance, and other operational components. Thomas came to AQN after five years at QED Investors; initially as the Chief of Staff for QED’s Managing Partner, Nigel Morris, and later as an Associate focused on QED’s venture build efforts. Thomas began his career as a legislative staffer in the US Senate, focused on energy, broadband, telecommunications, finance, technology, cybersecurity, and transportation.
Thomas has a BA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Head of Payments Intelligence
Caio Mattos is an expert in interchange optimization who specializes in network negotiations, operational setup, and transactional data analytics. He has advised on several network issuance agreements for top-ten issuers. Before joining AQN, he spent over 5 years at Capital One, where he held various analytical roles in business and operations analysis. He has a BS in Finance from the University of Florida.
